On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Hawalbagh Mandal organized a cleanliness drive under the Seva Pakhwada program at the Ramleela ground in Khatyari and nearby areas. A large number of party workers enthusiastically participated in the campaign, spreading the message of cleanliness and hygiene.
The drive was led by Hawalbagh Mandal President Sanjay Bisht. On this occasion, former MLA and former State Vice President Kailash Sharma said that the Swachh Bharat Mission is the result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary thinking, and the participation of every citizen is essential for its success. He emphasized that cleanliness should not be seen as just a campaign but as a way of life.

While addressing the workers, Kailash Sharma said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Mission is not merely a government program but a people’s movement. He added that if every individual takes responsibility for keeping their home, neighborhood, and city clean, the entire nation will become clean and healthy.
He further said that cleanliness should not be limited to a single day or occasion but should become a regular habit. Sharma appealed to the workers to organize such drives frequently and involve local residents to raise awareness about cleanliness.
The program saw the presence of District Minister Sunil Bisht, District Panchayat Member Prem Latwal, former Senior Pramukh Anand Kanwal, District Social Co-Coordinator Madan Bisht, General Secretary Sundar Matiyani, Manish Bisht, Mandal Vice President Kundan Kumar Bisht, Vinod Kanwal, Mandal Minister Kishan Bisht, Anand Dangwal, Harish Kanwal, Shakti Kendra Coordinator Arjun Bisht, Suresh Lohni, Booth President Pushkar Kanwal, former Media In-charge Rajan Bisht, along with Lalit Kanwal, Gokul Kanwal, Lalit Kholia, Jagdish Nagarkoti, Jagat Bhatt, Hitesh Negi, and many other workers.
Mandal President Sanjay Bisht said that by celebrating Prime Minister Modi’s birthday as Seva Pakhwada, BJP workers reaffirm their commitment to social service. He also appealed to everyone to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings. During the drive, workers collected garbage from the ground and nearby roads, while also spreading awareness among locals about the importance of hygiene.
