Almora. On Saturday late at night, a patient from Badechina admitted to the Base Hospital was found to have critically low platelets. The patient’s family immediately contacted members of the Almora Red Cross. Understanding the seriousness of the situation, Youth Red Cross Chairman Amit Sah Monu and Vice-Chairman Arjun Bisht rushed to the hospital along with blood donors and promptly arranged platelets for the patient.
Blood donors Dishank Verma and Ashutosh Bora set an inspiring example of humanity by arriving at the hospital in the middle of the night to donate blood. It is noteworthy that Youth Red Cross Chairman Amit Sah Monu and his team have been actively available 24×7 for a long time at the District Hospital, Women’s Hospital, and Medical College whenever there is a need for blood. Amit Sah himself has donated blood on numerous occasions and maintains continuous contact with blood donors.
