On the occasion of Engineer’s Day (September 15), the Uttarakhand Diploma Engineers Federation, Almora unit, organized a voluntary blood donation camp at District Hospital Almora. A total of 13 engineers from various engineering departments donated blood, spreading the message of social service.
The program was led by Federation’s District President Deepak Singh Matiyali and District Secretary Prafulla Kumar Joshi. Among the participating engineers were Prashant Pant, Suraj Rawat, Deepak Tiwari, Harish Bisht, Gaurav Bisht, Mukesh Mishra, Hitanshi Nainwal, Ravindra Rawat, Varun Pant, Arjun Negi, Prakash Kanyal, Swati Patwal, Punita Rani, and Dinesh Panwar.
The event also received special support from the Red Cross Society Almora. Kishan Gururani, Municipal Councillor Amit Shah Monu, and Abhishek Joshi actively contributed to the success of the program.
Speaking on the occasion, the engineers said that the primary purpose of the blood donation drive was to ensure that no patient loses their life due to lack of blood. With this spirit, the engineers decided to celebrate Engineer’s Day through such a noble cause.
