Under the Toppers Award and Financial Assistance Program organized by Uttarakhand Manav Seva Samiti, Delhi, a grand award ceremony was held on 24th August 2025 at Sundaram Hotel, Tikonia, Haldwani, to honor meritorious students from various schools of the Kumaon region.
On this prestigious occasion, four students from P.M. Shri Raja Anand Singh Government Girls’ Inter College, Almora secured top positions at the district, division, and state levels, bringing pride to their school. Recognizing its outstanding academic performance and social awareness, the school was conferred the prestigious title of “Best School of the Year in Kumaon Division.” As part of the award, the institution also received a projector and screen.
School Principal Mrs. Vijaya Pant congratulated the students and teachers on this remarkable achievement and extended her best wishes for the bright future of the students. She emphasized that this honor is the result of the school’s high academic standards, teachers’ dedication, and the students’ hard work.
The honored students included:
Khushi Bisht (Class 12) – 92% marks, awarded ₹25,000
Nikita Joshi (Class 12) – 95.6% marks, awarded ₹20,000
Harshita Joshi (Class 10) – 95.4% marks, awarded ₹15,000
Riya Bor (Class 10) – 94.2% marks, awarded ₹10,000
In addition, all these students received certificates, mementos, and school bags as tokens of appreciation.
The chief guest of the event, Dr. Durgesh Pant, Director General, UCOST Uttarakhand, highly praised the performance of the students and described the school’s achievements as a source of inspiration for the Kumaon region.
The school was represented at the event by Mrs. Indu Pawar (Assistant Teacher).
Principal Mrs. Vijaya Pant expressed her gratitude to Uttarakhand Manav Seva Samiti and ISSA Foundation, Ahmedabad, for not only providing financial assistance to the meritorious students but also helping them earn special recognition in society.
With great pride, the Principal also shared that student Nikita Joshi has been selected for the “Bharat Darshan Program” organized by the Government of India—another prestigious honor for the school.
The school family described this achievement as part of the institution’s glorious tradition and extended their heartfelt wishes for the bright and golden future of all its students.
