Strict Action Against Reckless Drivers on SSP’s Orders
Three Vehicles Seized for Rash Driving; Six Driving Licenses Recommended for Cancellation

In a bid to curb traffic violations and ensure road safety, SSP Almora Devendra Pincha has directed all police stations, traffic inspectors, and interceptor teams to take strict action against negligent drivers across the district.
Acting on these orders, a comprehensive checking campaign was launched under the supervision of CO Almora Gopal Datt Joshi. The drive was carried out by Traffic Inspector Darban Singh Mehta, Interceptor In-charge Sumit Pandey, along with constables Lalit and Manohar, covering areas such as Link Road, Jakhan Devi, Shikhar Tiraaha, and the Taxi Stand.
During the campaign, challans were issued to 42 violators under the Motor Vehicles Act. Three two-wheelers were seized for rash driving, while six drivers found riding without helmets and carrying three passengers were recommended for license cancellation.
Police officials stated that such enforcement drives will continue regularly. Strict actions will be taken against violators to maintain discipline on the roads and ensure the safety of the public.
