Members of the Red Cross Committee met Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Devendra Pincha on Monday and expressed their gratitude for the installation of CCTV cameras in the city. The members said that these cameras have significantly improved law and order, helping the police in curbing crime.
The Red Cross officials requested the SSP to ensure that CCTV cameras are also installed at several other key locations across the city to strengthen surveillance further. Responding positively, SSP Devendra Pincha assured that cameras would soon be installed at the locations suggested by the committee. He added that the police administration, with the cooperation of the public, is committed to making the city safer.
During the meeting, Red Cross members raised another important issue. They requested a list of police personnel serving in the district who have negative blood groups so they could be contacted during emergencies for blood donation, thereby saving precious lives. Welcoming the initiative, SSP Pincha said that the police department would extend full cooperation in this social cause.
The Red Cross representatives reiterated that the organization has been continuously working in the field of social service and will continue collaborating with the police to advance public welfare activities. The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere, with both sides resolving to strengthen cooperation for the larger good of society.

The Red Cross initiative has been widely appreciated by the residents of the city, who said that the expansion of CCTV coverage would not only help in reducing crime but also ensure effective cooperation in life-saving initiatives like emergency blood donation.
