
Poets Captivate Audience with Powerful and Emotional Verses at Adams Ground
Almora. As part of the historic Nanda Devi Fair, a grand Kavi Sammelan (poetry gathering) was organized on Sunday at Adams Ground. The event turned out to be a remarkable confluence of literature and culture. Regional and national-level poets participated, enchanting the audience with their powerful, satirical, emotional, and inspirational compositions.
The program was presided over by committee president Manoj Verma, with former Municipal Chairman Prakash Chandra Joshi as the chief guest. The event was conducted by committee secretary Manoj Sanwal. Present on the dais were chief cultural convener Tara Joshi, co-convener Ravi Goyal, manager Anoop Sah, treasurer Harish Bisht, chief convener Arjun Bisht Cheema, and other distinguished personalities.

Dr. D.S. Bora delivered a powerful poem on social issues.
Vipin Joshi ‘Komal’ moved the audience with his ghazals and lyrical pieces.
Shankar Joshi and Prema Gadkoti focused on folk culture and women empowerment.
Vinita Joshi and Chandra Upreti entertained with sharp satire on contemporary issues.
Kamla Bisht and Dhruv Tamta won applause with poems rooted in Uttarakhand’s folk traditions.
Kewalanand Joshi and Uday Kirola added humor and wit to the evening.
Mohan Lal Tamta and Dharaballabh Pandey also left their mark with engaging poetry.
Prof. Rizwana Siddiqui and Narendra Pal Singh brought literary depth and sensitivity.
