
Almora. On the occasion of Hindi Day, the Almora Literature Festival organized poetry writing, short story writing, and poetry recitation competitions at Shikhar Hotel. Around sixty students from ten schools, ranging from class five to postgraduate level, enthusiastically participated in the event.
The panel of judges included Mr. Neeraj Pant, Prof. Hamid, Mani Naman, Uday Kirola, Dhara Ballabh Pandey, and Vanshika Bora. Organizers announced that the winners of the competitions will be honored on the stage of the upcoming Almora Literature Festival scheduled from October 10 to 12.
The program’s chief guest was Dr. Geeta Kholia, while Shri Tribhuvan Giri Maharaj, Neelam Negi, and Beena Chaturvedi graced the event as special guests.
Following the competitions, a poetry session was also held, featuring the literary contributions of Prof. Hamid, Neeraj Pant, Meenu Joshi, Chandra Upreti, Dhara Ballabh Pandey, Shagufta Ansari, Rizwana Siddiqui, Rekha Joshi, Prakash Pandey, Deepak Karki, Kapil Nayaal, Vanshika Bohra, Shweta Upadhyay, Prof. Vijaya, Asha Pant, Hemlata Verma, Manoj Gupta, Bhushan Pandey, Deepak Joshi, Harshita Joshi, and many other literature enthusiasts.
Festival chairperson Vasudha Pant welcomed all the guests, while Deepa Gupta successfully conducted the proceedings.
