Almora. A case has been registered at Almora Kotwali against three individuals for allegedly using a forged medical certificate, fake seal, and signatures of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to secure a loan.
According to the complaint filed by Dinesh Negi, a resident of village Jaicholi, Post Someshwar, two Almora residents, Sunil Singh Kathayat and Kapil Dhapola, fraudulently obtained a loan related to a health check-up scheme. The loan file reportedly contained a forged medical certificate with fake signatures and the seal of the CMO Almora.
Negi further alleged that the accused also submitted fake quotations, bills, and certificates in the name of his firm, Jai Golu Traders, to the bank. However, he clarified that he has no business relations with either of the two.
He also mentioned that in the past year, Dhirendra Singh Gaila Koti, a resident of Sarkar Ki Aali, frequently visited his office and home. Negi suspects that with his involvement, fake quotations, bills, and seals were created in the name of his firm.
Negi stated that he had already written to the branch manager of Union Bank, Almora, demanding action against the culprits, but no steps were taken.
SSP Devendra Pincha confirmed that a case has been registered against the accused and that an investigation is underway.
