Funds Collected During Bridge Construction Movement Now to Aid Disaster Victims
Almora | Correspondent
The recent devastating natural disasters in Uttarakhand’s Almora and Uttarkashi districts have severely disrupted normal life. While the government and administration are actively engaged in relief operations, various social organizations and citizens have also stepped forward in support.
In this spirit, the Rashtraniti Organization has donated ₹2,175 to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to assist those affected by the disaster. The organization stated that this amount was originally collected through community support during a movement demanding the construction of roads and bridges in the villages of Khunt, Dhamas, Senar, Chan, and Raun Dal.
At the time, the organization had attempted to hand over the amount to the administration, but due to technical reasons, it was not accepted. Now, as the state struggles with a natural calamity, Rashtraniti has decided to dedicate the funds toward disaster relief.
Under the leadership of Advocate Vinod Chandra Tiwari, members including Govind Prasad, Deepak, Neema, Manoj, and others took this initiative. They emphasized that while the amount may be small, it represents a deep sense of solidarity and compassion during this critical time.
The organization appealed to the administration and concerned authorities to ensure the funds are utilized effectively through the CM Relief Fund so that timely assistance can reach those in need.
Rashtraniti Organization also reiterated its commitment to continue participating in community service efforts and to actively support any public-interest or disaster-related issues in the future.
Such small yet meaningful initiatives strengthen the spirit of humanity and cooperation in society. These actions should serve as an inspiration for other organizations and individuals to come forward and contribute in times of need.
