Under the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Seva Pakhwada programme, a workshop was organised at the BJP office in Almora on Saturday. The programme began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony performed jointly by Chief Guest and State Cell In-charge & former State Minister Pushkar Kala, BJP State Vice President Kailash Sharma, District President Mahesh Nayal, former Deputy Speaker Raghunath Singh Chauhan, District Panchayat Chairperson Hema Gaida, and Mayor Ajay Verma.
The Pakhwada is being coordinated by District General Secretary Prakash Bhatt, with Kailash Gururani, Mahipal Bisht, and Deepak Prakash Lal Sah as co-convenors.
In his keynote address, Pushkar Kala said, “Seva Pakhwada is not just a campaign but a pledge of responsibility towards society and the organisation.” He informed that the programme will commence on September 17, the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and conclude on October 2, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.
Scheduled Programmes
September 17: District-level blood donation camp, booth-level cleanliness drive, and live broadcast of the Prime Minister’s address at community centres.
September 19–20: Intellectual Dialogue on “Life and Achievements of Narendra Modi and Viksit Bharat.”
September 21: NaMo Marathon organised by Yuva Morcha.
September 25: Seminar on “Life of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay – Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Swadeshi.”
September 27–28: Felicitation of distinguished persons and distribution of assistive devices to differently-abled individuals.
October 2: Cleanliness drive and Viksit Bharat Painting Competition.
Welcome of New Office Bearers
The workshop concluded with the felicitation of newly appointed office bearers. On the occasion, District President Mahesh Nayal assured that “All office bearers will work selflessly to take BJP to greater heights.”
