The 41st foundation day of Mahila Congress was celebrated with great enthusiasm and dignity at the Congress office under the leadership of District President Radha Bisht. On this occasion, City Congress President Tarachand Joshi, along with a large number of Mahila Congress office-bearers, workers, and Congress members, were present.
In her address, District President Radha Bisht said that women’s upliftment is not just an issue of one section, but the responsibility of the entire society. She stressed that women must get equal opportunities in education, employment, social rights, and political platforms. Expressing deep concern over the rising incidents against women, she demanded strong action from the government and administration to ensure women’s safety so that they can contribute confidently to society.
Speakers on the occasion highlighted the increasing role of women in society and emphasized the need for greater participation of women in politics. It was said that true empowerment of women would not be possible until they are actively involved in politics and decision-making processes.
On the 41st foundation day, all Congress members pledged that the Congress Party will always prioritize women’s empowerment and their social-political participation, and will continue the struggle for it at every level.
