
Almora – On the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Devendra Pincha, all officers across the district have been instructed to conduct public awareness campaigns in schools, colleges, towns, and rural areas.
As part of this initiative, under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Almora Harbans Singh, Circle Officer Almora Gopal Datt Joshi, and Circle Officer Ranikhet Vimal Prasad, awareness programs were organized in schools of Chaukhutia and Danya. These programs were led by Inspector-in-Charge Ashok Kumar (Kotwali Chaukhutia) and Station House Officer Dinesh Nath Mahant (Police Station Danya).
During the program, students, teachers, and staff were sensitized about road safety rules, safe commuting, and the importance of following traffic regulations. They were also informed in simple language about key initiatives such as the Uttarakhand Police App, Gaurashakti, Drug-Free Life Campaign, and Cyber Security.
In addition, students and teachers were made aware of various helpline numbers, including:

Police officials urged students to adopt these safety measures in their daily lives and spread awareness among others as well.
