BJP District President Criticizes Congress
Almora. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) District President Mahesh Nyal strongly condemned the Congress Party for staging the effigy burning and making misleading statements against Union Minister and MP Ajay Tamta. He said such actions were an attempt to mislead the public with baseless claims.
Nyal stated that the long-pending problem of the Kwarb region has been addressed only due to the persistent efforts of MP Ajay Tamta. The central government sanctioned ₹51 crore for sliding zone treatment, out of which more than half of the work has already been completed.
He further informed that a diversion route from Doba to Chousali, costing ₹10.23 crore, has been approved and is directly connecting to the Kwarb end. Along with this, the bypass road has also been approved, the tender process is complete, and work is progressing. This, he emphasized, will provide a long-term and permanent solution for the local people.
Highlighting the seriousness of the issue, Nyal said that funds for the bypass road have been sanctioned by the National Highways (NH). Therefore, Congress’s allegation that public interest is being ignored is completely baseless and far from the truth.
He accused Congress of twisting and misrepresenting the statement of Union Minister Ajay Tamta purely for political gains. “The BJP will not tolerate any insult to the people. Every step of the party is dedicated to the welfare and development of the public,” he added.
Nyal urged Congress to stop baseless propaganda and instead play the role of a constructive opposition. He said that all public representatives, irrespective of party lines, should acknowledge the funds sanctioned through the efforts of the MP and work positively to ensure timely completion of the projects.
The Bharatiya Janata Party strongly condemned the continuous misleading propaganda, effigy burning, and attempts by Congress to mislead the people.
