In light of the recent disaster in the Dharali region of Uttarkashi, Almora Urban Cooperative Bank has stepped forward to support the victims and affected families. The bank has contributed ₹10 lakh as relief assistance, which was handed over to the District Magistrate of Almora for distribution to those impacted.
On Monday, a delegation from the bank presented a cheque of ₹10 lakh to the District Magistrate at the Collectorate. On this occasion, the District Magistrate appreciated the bank’s generous initiative and stated that such support in times of crisis is truly commendable. He expressed gratitude towards the bank and assured that the relief amount would be promptly disbursed through proper channels to the affected individuals.
Present during the handover were Vasudha Pant, Vice Chairperson of Almora Urban Cooperative Bank; P.C. Tiwari, Managing Director; Girish Dhawan, Director; B.S. Mehta, General Manager; and C.S. Martolia, Additional District Magistrate, along with other officials.
